Interviewer : Okay, we are almost at the end of interview just one last question. ( takes out pen and keeps it on the table ).
" Sell me this pen ".
Me : Sir are you left handed or right handed ?
Interviewer : I am right handed.
Me : Took out a thousand rupees note from pocket, keeps on the table, picking up the pen and I said him " If you could write your name with left hand with this pen, those thousand bucks are yours. "
Interviewer : Okay give me the pen.
Me : That would cost you a thousand bucks sir.
Edit : A lot of people are criticizing me stating that I didn't earned any profit, I'm going in loss, I'm stupid , I can never be a sales guy, etc. So I would like to state this that if you actually think this question was how to earn profit you have got it all wrong. The main point was actually getting to know what the person actually wants and give him that. When somebody asks you to sell an arbitrary product, all you need to do is discovery. If after reading this answer the first thing that comes to your mind is loss or profit you're not doing that. I could have easily come up with another point of service tax or terms and condition or any other thing if asked about the same. But the point was not about loss or profit. I exploited the persons greed for money which worked wonder and he desperately wanted a hold of that pen. I was more than just successful. When its comes to the cost I could have charged him any.
